Write to your MP about Wednesday's Farm Tax Vote: Template
Dear [X],
On Wednesday 4th December, the Conservative Party will use their opposition day in Parliament to force a vote on the recent changes to inheritance tax outlined in the October Budget.
As someone who is very concerned about the future of farming in this constituency, and indeed the entire country, I am urging you to vote in favour of stopping the farm tax.
Figures from the National Farmers Union (NFU) have suggested that three quarters of farmers will be affected by the taxes, and analysis by the Country Land and Business Association (CLBA) has suggested that the average 250 acre arable farm will have to sell 20 percent of its land to pay Labour’s IHT bill.
These new tax changes pose an existential threat to the future of British farming. It is incumbent on all of us, particularly MPs, to guarantee our country’s food security and ensure that our farmers are able to continue producing some of the most nutritious foods in the world. Both of these objectives will be fatally undermined if Labour’s policies are not reversed.
I hope I can count on you as my elected representative to do the right thing and stand with our farmers.
Yours sincerely,
[X]

💯, is this confirmed that there will be a vote to stop the changes to IHT relief??
